After a long journey from Singapore to Lima with our 3 kids, we finally made it! In this episode, we kick off our 14-day Peru family adventure with warm reunions, delicious Peruvian food, and joyful celebrations — with a few surprises along the way. ✈️ Day 1 – Arrival in Lima We landed in Lima tired but excited, and wasted no time diving into our first meal: pollo a la brasa at Pardos Chicken and a side of chicha morada (Peru’s iconic purple corn drink). The perfect welcome back to Peruvian flavors! 🎉 Day 2 – A Magical Birthday Party We started the day with a hearty breakfast at Tanta, trying dishes like milanesa, criolla, and a humita. Later that day, it was off to Tía Martha’s house for a fun birthday party for Joaquin — complete with balloons and a magician who had both the kids and adults laughing. We also enjoyed a classic causa limeña — creamy, tangy, and totally yummy! 🍖 Day 3 – Father’s Day BBQ + Earthquake! Father’s Day was celebrated with a full-on barbecue. We feasted on all the good beef parts — including picanha, my personal favorite! The kids played football with cousins while the adults caught up over grilled meats. Earlier that morning though, we experienced a 5.6 magnitude earthquake that struck off Peru’s central coast.
