Man where the Ringed City's Bosses at? :D I was so excited to face off against Slave Knight Gael and Darkeater Midir, after I noticed him on the side of the cliff. Instead I got served with medieval fantasy equivalent of a machine gun (Judicator Giant archer summons). I do not know who got a hold of the helm when this DLC was being developed and sold the brilliant idea of ranged sentries... But I pray that they find inner peace before designing bosses and enemies in future games. How were the "Angels" not enough? I can only imagine that they were laughing their butts off while imagining how relieved we would feel after finally getting rid of "Angels" only to get smacked in face with a volley of arrows right after. And why the heck do all of the NPC's we meet here have to be so hideous looking? For the better part of a half episode I was contemplating if I should just kill the Locust Preacher since he is probably gonna try to eat us at some point anyway. xD The fact that I was getting swarmed by his annoying locust brethren did not tip the scales in his favour one bit. It is hard for me to tell why does all of his dialogues end in - "Let the feast begin!" From what I gathered he could probably be ranting about Irina & Eygon of Carim. So I cannot help but wonder - why the heck did we get a second Dragonslayer Armour boss fight? Am I to assume that there just were many dragonslayers clad in such armour and that he was not a special or distinguished being? Or since it is just a empty husk could it be that after it's demise by our hands at Lothric Castle it gets possessed by some other form of power yet again? Another thought crossed my mind - why else would there be a dragonslayer at a place like this if not to chase down Darkeater Midir in order to slay him? To be fair no wonder that Midir is still alive, even I cannot seem to chase him down. I still suspect that we got to get down in that lower flat area beneath the swamp to face off against him. Fingers crossed that this does not turn into another Frozen Chasm situation... And speaking about things unreached - apparently there is a secret right next to the bonfire before you cross the first bridge towards Midir. I just realised while writing this description that the Ruin Set is literally the armour from Ruin Sentinel Boss fight in Dark Souls II. At the time I only noticed the helmets similarity to the Loyce Knights with whom we took down the Burnt Ivory King. Peculiar that the only direct references to the second game are in this DLC. I do quite enjoy seeing and being able to obtain some of these previous game assets and I hope they keep this legacy item tradition in future games as well. P.s. - The Ringed City's Knights are the only proper endgame looking mobs in DLC... Next episode • ELDEN RING enjoyer tries DARKS SOULS III -...
