Seneca is a budget brand of cigarettes made in Canada, but marketed within the United States, by Grand River Enterprises, which is a Canadian tobacco company, and is, according to their own website at least, the largest indigenous owned company in the world, selling products in over 50 markets. I don't know much about the history of the brand, however, I do know that they've been on the market for over 15 years in the United States, certainly since before 2008.
