At the 2nd International Conference “Redefining the Future Horizons: Designing the Sustainable Strategies of Tomorrow,” Giorgos (George) Stasinos, President of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE–TCG), highlighted the major reforms underway in spatial planning and infrastructure management to demonstrate Greece's commitment to sustainable development. He emphasized the unprecedented scale of Greece’s new urban planning framework, the need for early flood‑risk forecasting systems, and the importance of a National Infrastructure Registry to support systematic maintenance. Mr. Stasinos also addressed critical challenges, including construction restrictions in Mykonos and Santorini, the urgency of advancing major transport projects in Attica, and the need to take immediate action to reduce traffic congestion. He expressed concern about delays in major projects such as Metro Line 4.
