Top reviews from the United States A practical, affordable made in Finland knife I bought this because reviews from others said that it is made in Finland. Received this in blister pack. I confirm that the knife is made in Finland. The sheath which looks and smells like pig skin is from Etonia and the ceramic knife sharpener from China. The blade which is Swedish steel is flexible but yet not too soft for filleting work. The handle looks and feel like soft wood but is coated with some polyetherene for water proofing. I find the wood handle quite rough to the touch probably for better grip but for a 'perfectionist' like me, I prefer to sand it down lightly and recoat it with wood varnish. The blade is full tang as one can see the end on the back of the handle. Sharpen it with a fine wet stone and finished it with a leather strop will produce a fine edge. Please note that this edge does not hold well but it is easy to sharpen, so it is good to strop or hone it with a ceramic stick as and when required.
