FT Arrow iNav Matek F411 WSE Wide Pod almost maiden flight

This is a flight video of my new (as of Fall 2019) design and scratch build of a 3D printed wide pod for FliteTest Arrow wings. The wide pod has enough space for a 3S 2200 lipo and a flight controller. The plane is equipped with the Matek F411 WSE flight controller. With all the electronics, filament, incidentals and a whopping $2 USD for the two sheets of Dollar Tree Foam Board (aka Adams Readyboard 20” x 30” sheets), the total cost of the build is around $200 USD. The 'wide pod' is on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:401... I originally designed this pod in Fusion 360 to save some wings from an FT Arrow that had been crashed too many times. Alas, the wings were still in good shape, it was the center section that was no longer salvageable. I have refined the design for a few revisions, and have more planned as this design still has some shortcomings. The plane is not as efficient as I might hope, but I think it will still fly for a maximum of 22 minutes of cruising on a not so windy day, flying down to 3.5 volts per cell. Time will tell. I plan on making more videos about this plane, I think the first in a series should be a flying video, after all, you want to know if the thing flies first and foremost right? I’ll get into specifics of the plane and build in later videos (if there is interest), but for now I’ll just talk about this flight. The flight was on 16 November 2019, the weather was sunny, temperatures about 12C, winds out of the N to NNW shifting, and gusting 13 to 18 mph. The winds give the plane a bumpy ride most of the time. I have yet to fly it on a day that wasn't windy. This is a new plane, second flight, I’m a newbie pilot, and I’m a newbie iNav builder too. I’m also a newbie maker of videos for youtube. I want to give back to the community that has helped and entertained me so much during my RC/FPV journey. Some things I noticed after my rambling narration: After launch, I should have mentioned that the plane descends in the autolevel modes such as horizon. I need to change board alignment to fix that? I’m not sure yet.
