Bali never stops surprising me. Day 4 was a journey through serene water gardens, mystical caves, and sacred temples – each place telling its own story. We started the day at Tirta Gangga, a breathtaking water palace built by the royal family of Karangasem. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by shimmering pools, stepping stones over koi-filled ponds, and intricate fountains surrounded by lush greenery. The air felt cooler here, almost as if time slowed down. It’s the kind of place where you can wander for hours, camera in hand, and still feel like you’ve only scratched the surface. Next, we headed to Goa Lawah, one of Bali’s most unique temples. Built around a natural cave, it’s home to thousands of bats hanging from the ceiling. The sound of their wings and the faint scent of incense created an atmosphere that was both mysterious and spiritual. Locals believe the cave connects to Mount Agung, adding to its mystical charm. Our final stop was the Bat Temple, a sacred site where nature and spirituality meet. The temple’s ornate gates opened to a courtyard filled with offerings, while the constant flutter of bats overhead reminded me of Bali’s deep connection to its wildlife. Watching the locals pray here was humbling – a reminder that in Bali, faith is woven into everyday life.
