Note: To unlock this Rank, you need to collect 3 Legend units from Stories of Legend (up to Mina). However, you need COTC 3 treasures to beat this one. The last of the tutorial ranks and what better a time to introduce the other type of gimmicky ability based trait counter system: Barrier. Barrier is an ability exclusive to Starred Alien enemies that absorbs all damage taken and all status effects inflicted by those attacks until the enemy takes more damage from a single hit than the Barrier has health or the enemy with Barrier is hit by a Barrier Breaker proc, instantly destroying the Barrier regardless of damage dealt. UltraBaaBaa has a Barrier with 266,000 HP, making it rare for any unit to be capable of breaking it with brute strength. This is where Space Marine comes in with a chance of Barrier Breaker. Why Ponos chose this unit instead of Kitty of Liberty I will never know. It's also worth mentioning now that Aku enemies have a similar ability: Shield. The abilities function almost the same, but Aku enemies' Shield ability simply functions as an extra health bar rather than requiring the Shield be 1-shot and the Shield regenerates fully or partially when the enemy is knocked back by taking damage. Barrier Breaker is not Shield Pierce. Don't embarrass yourself by trying to use one as the other. The other stages here are actually kinda tricky comparatively so I'll talk about them too. The next stage is an Angel stage featuring Boraphim as the boss with UltraBaaBaa spread throughout just to force Barrier Breaker. LD and Ramen are your best friends here. If you have Fiend and her Angel talents, even better. The last stage is a stage featuring Professor A as the boss. I recommend rushing the stage down as soon as possible to clear it before the second Professor A spawns. Rewards: 3 Leaderships, 20 Normal Tickets, 5 Rare Tickets
