This is an extended version I made of the album version of “Monster” by Meg & Dia, which came out on Tuesday August 8th, 2006 at the same time their second studio album “Something Real” was released. Monster is an Indie / Alternative Rock song! My extended version is a re-imagining of the original 2006 Album Version of Monster in what an extended version might sound like….with a few tweaks of course. "Monster" is a popular hit song by the American indie rock band Meg & Dia. The song was released on August 18, 2006. Meg & Dia are from Draper, Utah, United States. "Monster" gained significant attention for its haunting lyrics and energetic sound. The song explores the theme of personal struggles and the battle against one's own inner demons. It addresses the challenges of facing one's fears and the desire to break free from the grip of darkness. With its catchy melodies and powerful vocals, "Monster" resonated with listeners and garnered a dedicated fan base. The song's introspective lyrics and emotive delivery struck a chord with audiences, making it one of Meg & Dia's most well-known and beloved tracks. Meg & Dia, consisting of sisters Meg and Dia Frampton, formed the band in 2004. They gained initial recognition through social media platforms and their independent releases. "Monster" served as a breakthrough single for the band, catapulting them to wider recognition and paving the way for their subsequent success in the alternative rock scene. Over the years, Meg & Dia have continued to create music and tour, captivating audiences with their unique blend of introspective lyrics, melodic hooks, and powerful performances. Their music has evolved and matured, but "Monster" remains a standout track in their discography, capturing the essence of their early success and musical style.
