(12 Mar 2018) THE PFDC SUNSILK FASHION WEEK ENDS WITH A POWERFUL TRIBUTE TO THE STRENGTH OF WOMEN The PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2018 in Lahore, Pakistan has ended with the grand finale that celebrates the strength of women. Pakistani designer Hussan Shahayar Yaseen (HSY) presented his brand's new Luxury Pret collection called "Knight." With "Knight," HSY celebrates the power of women not only in his own life but around the world. As HSY sees it, taking charge of the narrative and fighting back to take control, women are going into battle to challenge the world around them, to make their voices heard and change the way the world perceives the strengths they've always had. They are their own knights in shining armor. "Inspiration for the collection is called 'Knights,'" the famous Pakistani designer said.  It's knights in shining armor. In this world where people are fighting for, and the woman are fighting for their voices to be heard, because as Meghan Markle said, 'They've always had a voice, it need to be heard.' And I just want to politely put that they are going into battle. These clothes about the woman who walk in the room before their clothes do. They are about raising hope and it's about putting these kinds of bands to raise money for impoverished woman. We as a man must stand and understand that these women's voices must be heard, respected and understood. And if I can do even a small part of this fantastic platform that I've gotten, then I should." Fashion week organizer Kamia Rukni was equally excited about growth of the Pakistani fashion industry: "The Final day of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week and it's just a very exciting end to two...three days of fashion that have shown us many trends and shows us that the Pakistani fashion industry is booming and it's a very vital place...lots of trends on the ramp and it's going to end with a show by HSY who we haven't seen in the hall for a bit. So, it will be really exciting."
