No rental car today; instead, I wanted to share with you my 2012 Toyota Prius C2. I've owed this car for almost 8 years and I absolute love it. This is THE best cheap hybrid out there and it gets amazing gas mileage. It's not uncommon for me to get 70 mpg or higher while commuting to and from work. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• There's more details below, but I just wanted to quickly say ~thank you~ for watching my video. Please comment below and share your thoughts. Or just take a second and say 'Hey'. I'd love to hear from you. Cheers! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Chapters: 00:00 Introduction 00:21 Specs 01:00 Engine (under the hood) 02:08 Keyfob 02:25 Steering Wheel 03:01 Start Up 03:29 Gauge Cluster (Center Display) 04:18 Eco Score Screen 05:18 Tour of front seat 06:03 Entertainment / Radio, CD Player 06:56 Climate Controls 07:41 Gear Shift 08:01 EV Mode 08:35 Center Arm Rest / Storage 09:29 Glove Box 09:45 Backseat 10:45 Car Seat Anchors 11:08 Hatch (rear storage) 11:45 Fold Down Rear Seats 12:16 Test Drive 13:19 Cabin Noise 13:51 Final Thoughts 14:43 Thank you 14:49 Video Recommendations •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• THE BASICS: Year: 2012 Make: Toyota Model: Prius C Two the "C" stands for city, because this vehicle is designed for better mpg in the city than on the highway. "Two" is the trim level. There are four total trims. One being the lowest and starting at $19,000. Four being the highest and retailing around $26,000. Type: full hybrid gasoline-electric subcompact hatchback (same size as the Yaris) Seats: 5 (but not really, you'll need some small passengers) Color: Moonglow (white) MSRP: $21,635 (window sticker price, I paid around $20,000) +today with around 60,000 miles on it, I could sell it for around $7500. UNDER THE HOOD: Engine: 1.5L Inline 4 (front wheel drive) Transmission: 2-speed CVT (continuously variable speed automatic) Horsepower: 74 hp at 4,800 rpm EPA Estimated MPG City: 53 EPA Estimated MPG Highway: 46 EPA Estimated Combined MGP: 50 Thoughts on MPG: Highway feels a bit right. But in the city I commonly get 60 to 70 mpg. But I've adjusted my driving style to purposely get better gas mileage, but accelerating slowly, coasting whenever possible, and using the Prius regenerative braking to its full ability (long slow stops) Fuel Tank Capacity: 9.5 gallon fuel tank Fuel Type: Regular unleaded HANDLING: Spectacular. It's a small vehicle with small wheels, so it's super responsive and easy to maneuver. ACCELERATION: Not good. Actually, it horrible, but that's on purpose. This car is not designed to go fast, it's set up to be extremely fuel efficient. CABIN NOISE: Not great. Even at 35 mph you can hear the wind flowing through the vehicle. It's not horrible...but expect to have to increase the volume significantly if you're listening to something while driving on the highway. FINAL THOUGHTS: I was not a fan of this car at first, but it's grown on me. I like how practical the it is and I absolutely LOVE the fuel efficiency. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• CONTACT INFO: [email protected] Please send me an email.
