👍Build your limb independence with this 3-minute hands-only exercise at 40 BPM. This is Part 3 of the Limb Independence Series. This exercise focuses on developing coordination and independence between your right and left hands through a 2-bar pattern that loops continuously for 3 minutes. Full sheet music notation is displayed throughout, making it easy to follow along and practice anywhere - on your knees, a practice pad, a pillow, or any surface. Part 1: • 3-Minute Limb Independence Exercise for BE... Part2: • 3-Minute Limb Independence Exercise for BE... ⚠️IMPORTANT: Start Even Slower If Needed! This exercise is presented at 40 BPM, but don't feel locked into this tempo. If 40 BPM feels too fast or challenging, drop down to 30 BPM, 25 BPM, or even 20 BPM. There's no shame in starting slower - in fact, that's where the best learning happens. True limb independence is built at tempos where you can execute every note with complete control and awareness. Speed will come naturally once your coordination is solid. About This Exercise: This 2-bar pattern challenges your hands to move independently. The beauty of this exercise is that you can practice it anywhere, anytime - no drum kit needed. Just your hands and focus. Practice Structure: 2-bar pattern 3 minutes of continuous practice 40 BPM tempo (but feel free to go slower) Full sheet music notation on screen How to Progress: Start at whatever tempo allows you to play the pattern cleanly and comfortably. Once that tempo feels natural and relaxed, gradually increase your metronome by 5 BPM. Never rush the process. Comfort and control at a slow tempo is always more valuable than sloppy speed. Practice Tips: Practice this exercise with both right hand lead and left hand lead Focus on the accent placement - that's what makes this challenging Keep your hands relaxed to avoid tension Count out loud to stay locked to the pulse Even 5-10 minutes of focused daily practice will produce results Check out Part 1 and 2 of this series for more limb independence exercises! ❤️Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE for more limb independence exercises, practice along videos, and drum fundamentals! 🥁 -- In this channel, i’ve got a no-nonsense approach. Just sheet music for you to practice! And also PDF files that you can download. My purpose here is to built a huge Drum Library for everyone... As a drummer, I'm tired of seeing incredible cameras, impossible-to-afford drum kits, huge productions, and fancy words from people who has "everything" that demotivate drummers. I've been playing drums for 20 years, and if there's one thing I'm sure about, it's that we just need consistent practice, folks. We need inspiration of course, we need to listen a lot of different music, a lot of drummers. Take care guys. --
