This is the Sonicake Acoustic-Electric Travel Guitar QGT-01: an affordable, silent instrument you can take anywhere! Sonicake Travel Guitar: https://www.sonicake.com/collections/... Silent acoustic guitars aren’t a new thing: Yamaha, for example, has been making them for years. But Sonicake’s new Travel Guitar takes the niche to new, budget heights. This is a guitar that, on paper, should be useful for so many people: new and experienced guitarists, and electric and acoustic players alike will have room for something like this in their life. With its long-life battery, headphones and Aux In options, its wide range of tones and sound-sculpting options, and its well fitted and padded gigbag, the Travel Guitar certainly seems to tick all the right boxes. And, at around $299, it’s very competitively priced too. You get decent specs here: the guitar’s body and neck is mahogany, the fingerboard and bridge are rosewood, and you even get a bone nut. The neck is a lovely smooth satin affair, and it’s nice and slim for an acoustic, so electric and beginner players will feel at home immediately. Once you’re done playing, everything folds down nicely into the supplied gigbag for transport and storage. For the sounds, you get Sonicake’s in-house-developed preamp system, which offers 8 acoustic guitar body shape simulations (dreadnoughts, jumbos, OM and parlor guitars are all covered, alongside a basic piezo mode and more). There’s also a Volume control, a 2-band EQ (Bass and Treble) and built-in Reverb and Chorus effects to further elevate your tones. You can play this guitar anywhere too. It has a headphone out, making it ideal for silent practice, but you can also plug it into a guitar amp, a PA, or your computer/recording software. This makes it ideal for jamming, practicing, recording, performing live gigs, and more. And, being only 1.7 kgs (3.75 lbs.) and 2.72 kg (6 lbs.) when aged up, it’s a dream to carry round with you wherever you go. How good is it, though? With a guitar like this, often it’s the sounds, feel and playability that can let things down. But, I’m pleased to say that the Sonicake Travel Guitar has been an excellent and inspiring acquisition for me, and in this video, I want to give you 10 reasons why I think every guitar player should give it a try!
