24 hours in Riga | The best Christmas market in Europe 🇱🇻🎄

Riga in Latvia was named as the best Christmas market in Europe and you can see why. If you’re looking for the perfect winter wonderland experience, this is it. It’s always snowy in Riga in December which makes for the movie-style fairytale setting. It is the first stop on our three-week Christmas adventure which will take us through six countries in the Baltics and Scandinavia. We rode to the top of St Peter’s Church for the best viewpoint over the city - a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view. We also packed in a visit to the House of the Blackheads, the Three Brothers (Riga’s oldest buildings) and of course the Christmas market in Old Town Square. An incredible art installation of lights lined the park outside Opera House and through the city which looked awesome at night time. What else to say, other than just look for yourself at how amazing this place is. We absolutely loved it and will 100% be going back one day to enjoy the special wintry goodness of Latvia.
