Revisiting the Carrapateena Mega Cave

After Emesent Hovermap’s successful autonomous scan of the Carrapateena mega cave in 2023, Emesent recently returned to reassess conditions deep underground. The goal: Monitor how the cave is developing and determine the RL (Reduced Level) of the muck pile at the base — vital information to confirm adequate coverage of the workings below. With safety exclusion zones still in place, Emesent Hovermap mounted to a drone was able to autonomously capture accurate, high-resolution data where traditional methods would not have been able to reach.
