The "Chamber Orchestra" project returns with a recording of "Griffons Never Die" by Naoshi Mizuta from the Final Fantasy XI Soundtrack. This is a transcription for Chamber Orchestra of the Piano Collections arrangement for the aforementioned game. Of arrangements from the FFXI PC, this one was one of few which stuck out as a perfectly simple and beautiful arrangement. I changed the key to make it more string friendly and take advantage of some pedal tone open C strings in the Cello. Special thanks to an unnamed good friend for loaning me 4 different Violins to use within the First and Second Violin sections to better create a believable "section" sound. The goal of this project is to create a recording by using a very small amount of people in a small setting yet make the end product sound like a professional Orchestra was recorded on a live stage. Only panning and reverb have been used to create this effect (along with multiple instruments). Close your eyes or turn away and listen! Let me know if I have believably "faked" the effect of many live musicians!
