Video taken along the Patapsco Avenue corridor - basically the "City/County Line" - in South Baltimore. First couple of clips take place at Patapsco & Annapolis Road near Patapsco Flea Market; next bundle at the entrance of Patapsco Light Rail station; next two within Baltimore Highlands at Tulip Avenue & McDowell Lane; and the last clip at my - so you say, "birthplace" - Patapsco & Hollins Ferry Road or Lakeland community, hence the name 'MJofLakeland1'. Miscellaneous: If you're wondering what's the speed limit on that one mile stretch of Patapsco Avenue with the Light Rail station in-between, it's '35 mph' the whole length. For decades of this roadway's existence, cars have always exceeded speeds upwards to 80-90 mph. This include massive humps and craters - also known as, "potholes" (but here in Baltimore they are craters) - on corroded concrete; numerous fatal accidents; and a branch of the Patapsco River - beyond the horizon looking past the light rail bridge - overflowing onto the roadway after a snowstorm or massive rainfall that ultimately results in the shut down of the portion of roadway between the light rail station entrance and Potee Street. The only roadwork to have ever been done in the past twenty years, were: repainting the lane lines and in 2014, eliminating the far left lane (westbound-side) to create a makeshift 'auxiliary lane' for traffic entering and exiting the light rail station. Will it ever be repaved?... Unless $50 million or so to repave all 'three-and-a-half miles' of situated concrete suddenly appears, it's very unlikely to occur any time soon. Adding rumble strips or even a traffic signal (functional only during rush-hours) at the light rail station, or both, can do wonders... NOW YOU KNOW ABOUT PATAPSCO AVENUE!
