Although the park is 100% in Hampshire the park advertises itself, for some strange reason, as "The Biggest Outdoor Play in Berkshire". The Park consists of 350 acres of coniferous and deciduous woodlands with several nature trails and a lake. It was opened in 1974 by the 8th Duke and Duchess of Wellington. The Park is the ultimate adventure for 3-8 year olds with all attractions being aimed for this target age group including adventure playgrounds, mini-golf, an Animal Farm, Miniature Railway, Jumping Pillow and more. Wellington Country Park and Campsite is located just off the A33 near Riseley, in between Reading and Basingstoke on the Hampshire Berkshire border. Trails deep into the woods, allow you to explore and experience an array of animals, trees and birdlife and to see our herd of red and fallow deer up close!! You can choose between The Water Fowl, Bird Spotter's, Antler or Woodland Trails! Links: Part Two : • Part 2: Wellington Country Park | Hampshir...
