Peripheral Zone: 70% of prostate, more echogenic than transition zone. Central Zone: Approximately 25% of the prostate. It is present around the ejaculatory ducts. Transition Zone: More hypoechoic/heterogeneous as compared to peripheral zone. Usually affected in BPH.
