This bun was born when I hadn't been able to use any of my (expensive) Ficcares for over 6 months. My hair is sleek, slippery and straight and also about knee length. It wants to escape any updo and is therefore a fickle beast when it comes to Ficcares. They are sturdy but pretty heavy so you really need a good bun to prevent slippage and pulling. As this bun is centre held, you can in theory wear it on any length of hair as the amount of hair in the clip itself is always the same. This bun also comes with a built in tighting feature - if you feel it getting a bit loose, you can pull the middle loop (the one that you create first) gently upwards to tighten things up.
