On 15 May 1944 a strange German fighter appeared over a tiny village on the coast of Norfolk, in Eastern England. Its undercarriage was down and it appeared to be preparing to land! This is the story of the Austrian Luftwaffe pilot who stole a rare variant of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 and flew over 400 miles without any maps to defect to the British! Dr. Mark Felton FRHistS, FRSA is a well-known British historian, the author of 22 non-fiction books, including bestsellers 'Zero Night' and 'Castle of the Eagles', both currently being developed into movies in Hollywood.
