Let me tell you, when I started using Gouache, I STRUGGLED. In all caps. I didn’t know a thing about the right paint consistency or how to mix my very limited colors together to get a nice look. But because I want you to love this medium as much as I do so, I made a video about the absolute Gouache beginner basics. (This is also me testing how I like to make more educational videos.) I’ll talk you through the different consistencies of Gouache and how to mix every important color with just a small set of five paints. (Using the right color wheel and mixing colors with CMYK makes the designer in me very happy.) And because I know people love HIMI, I compare different brands to it (just very quickly) and tell you about opaqueness levels and lightfastness. Have fun!
