The core strength of the Triber CNG lies in its exceptional cabin space management and modular seating system, which offers over 100 seating configurations. This unique EasyFix third-row allows the last two seats to be individually removed, transforming the vehicle from a 7-seater MUV to a 5-seater with an impressive 625 litres of boot space. With all three rows in use, the boot space is a nominal 84 litres. The CNG model is powered by the proven 1.0-litre Energy engine, which is a 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated unit. When running on CNG, the engine delivers a maximum power of approximately 71 bhp at 6250 rpm and a peak torque of around 96 Nm at 3500 rpm. It comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. A key feature of this dual-fuel system is the presence of a fuel change-over switch and the capability for a Direct Start in CNG mode. The CNG option is retrofitted and government-approved, making it a cost-effective and eco-friendly driving solution with notably higher mileage figures than the petrol-only model. Design and Features: The Triber sports an assertive, sub-4-meter crossover-like design with a robust stance. The exterior features like roof rails (with a 50 kg load capacity), pronounced wheel arch cladding, and a respectable 182 mm of unladen ground clearance give it a rugged look suitable for varied Indian road conditions. Inside, the cabin is designed for comfort and convenience. It often features a dual-tone dashboard, a floating touchscreen infotainment system (up to 20.32 cm/8-inch) with wired or wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster (up to 17.78 cm TFT), and thoughtful storage spaces (up to 23 litres of cabin storage). Crucially, for passenger comfort, the Triber is equipped with independent rear AC vents for both the second and third rows. Higher variants may also include features like a wireless phone charger, a cooled centre console, and keyless entry with a start/stop button. Safety: Safety is another strong point for the Triber, which has received a commendable 4-star Global NCAP rating for adult occupant protection in its pre-facelift form. It comes equipped with a range of safety features that can include: • Up to 6 airbags (Driver, Front Passenger, 2 Curtain, 2 Side) • Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) • Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Traction Control System (TCS) on newer models • Hill Start Assist (HSA) • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) • Rear parking sensors and a reverse camera. The Renault Triber CNG is, therefore, a compelling package that delivers on the promise of affordable 7-seater mobility, low running costs, and a highly adaptable interior, making it a segment-defining choice for value-conscious family buyers.
