I visited Tauberbischofsheim as part of a road trip through the Romantische Straße I took with my wife in early April 2019. On the 7th of April we left Bad Mergentheim after midday and drove to Tauberbischofsheim where we arrived around 1pm. We were lucky with a nicely sunny and fairly hot day but were surprised at how few people we saw around; probably due to the fact that it was Sunday which potentially makes this town very quiet. We spent a couple of hours wondering around this medieval town visiting the Tauberbischofsheim Castle, dated back to second half of the 13th century; the Marketplace encircled by Half-Timbered houses, the Gothic Revival town hall and the parish church of St. Martin. We also had a chance to take a stroll just outside the old town along the river Tauber which is surrounded by nice green open space and it was also hosting a great looking circus.
