This condition can result in redness, irritation, tearing, and discomfort. If left untreated, it can result in damage to the eye itself. In this video, we'll discuss what entropion is, what causes it, and how it is treated. Entropion is caused by a weakening of the muscles and tissues that support the eyelid, resulting in it turning inwards. It can be caused by aging, certain diseases, and even serious eye injury. The symptoms of entropion can include redness, irritation, tearing, and general discomfort. If left untreated, it can damage the eye itself, resulting in vision loss. Fortunately, entropion can be treated effectively. In some cases, a simple eyelid tuck may be all that is necessary to fix the problem. Other than that, steroids may be used to reduce swelling and inflammation. In more severe cases, surgery may be required to reposition the eyelid and restore a normal lid shape. In conclusion, entropion is a medical condition that affects the eyelids and can lead to vision loss if left untreated. Fortunately, it can be treated effectively with either surgery or non-invasive methods. We hope you found this video helpful. Thanks for watching!
