It has been two years since the new Hustler was delivered. Immediately after I took delivery of the car, I was suffering from the bottom-out feeling and reached the limit of my patience😅 There is no problem when driving normally, but when I go over a small bump, it bottoms out a lot. At the base of a bridge, an uneven manhole, or a difference in level that is difficult to see at a glance, the sound suddenly goes off! ! I was shocked and was quite surprised. The dealer said there was nothing wrong with the shock, so it seemed difficult to fix the problem, so we decided to customize the suspension. Based on the information that the ride comfort had improved, we first replaced the springs. The bottoming out has improved, but now the impact when going down from a step has become bigger. Is it because of the imbalance or lack of stroke caused by adding a 1 inch larger spring to the stock shock absorber? In the end, I decided to replace the shock absorber as well. When I looked at the shock absorber I removed, I found that it was not in a normal condition. It has already covered 60,000 km, so I'm sure it's worn out a bit, but the fact that it hit rock bottom so soon after delivery means it wasn't normal from the beginning. 😅 By replacing the spring and shock absorber, the impact when descending from a step has been improved, and the ride has become much more comfortable! This time, I customized it step by step, so I ended up using a combination of TANABE springs and JAOS shock absorbers, and I was satisfied with the results! Since my father replaced it, there was no labor charge, and even including the lateral rod, I was able to customize it for less than 100,000 yen.
