#SupportiveFamily #FriendlyEnvironment #AchievingGoal Our family teaches us how to function in the world. It should provide love and warmth to all of its members. A strong family gives its members the support they need to make it through life’s toughest spots. Family is so important because of all the love and support it provides. Being with family helps construct principles and improves overall mental health. Spending time with family is key to a person's development as it promotes adaptability and resilience. people are more likely to reach goals when parents and family members are there to provide support to help them get through tough situations, set boundaries and keep them heading in the right direction. As kids grow up, the type of support they need changes, but their need for family support doesn’t go away. However providing support is not doing things for them. The goal is to empower kids to do things for themselves. Research tells us that kids who have supportive parents are more likely to: Maintain a higher GPA and adjust better in school. Have higher self-esteem and lower rates of depression.Have lower rates of substance abuse. Experience less stress or fewer emotional problems. In today’s culture of high stakes testing and tough competition for college admissions, perfectionism in children can be viewed as a desirable trait. But recent research shows that perfectionism can interfere with a child’s ability to achieve goals and shape their futures–the core of what it means to be resourceful. In fact, perfectionistic children often struggle with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. As much as you understand how you ended up a perfectionist, you still struggle with balancing your need to be perfect with more effective strategies for getting things done.In this struggle supportive family means alot.
