My New AMG E53 – Base Spec to BEAST Spec!!

Today is Part 2 of my Two AMG car collection videos! Yesterday we pulled the covers off my new #MercedesAMG GT 55 V8, and today its stablemate arrives: my brand-new AMG E53 Plug-In Hybrid. And I’m not alone. For years, AMG customers (myself included) walked away: the 4-cylinder C63 and GLC, the EQ “AMGs,” and pricing that just didn’t make sense. Even the great SL and GT were priced into obscurity. But now things are changing, evidenced by me buying two new AMGs. The CLE 53 is a gorgeous return to form. This new E53 is a wide-body hybrid with 612 hp that genuinely channels the old E63 spirit. And crucially: #Mercedes are finally getting pricing, discounts, and finance right again. That’s why this car is here today, alongside my GT55, as the start of a new AMG chapter. But instead of getting a crazy spec: I actually bought a base-spec E53, then completely transformed it into a proper AMG hero car with the help of Topaz Detailing with a Full Satin Magno Black conversion and the E63 Edition 1 Style stripe. And then a final big change at Kerbsafe, replication the G63-style lightweight multi-spoke wheels refinished in OEM+ 2-tone with satin lacquer -- and finally the AMG red calipers restored to factory finish! Inside, I found a light two-tone cabin with Neva grey and black nappa, comfort seats with 4D sound, full panoramic roof, active ambient lighting, AMG drive units, and the elegant “non-Superscreen” layout with silver wood trim. Proof that even a base spec, with the right touches, can look and feel like a full-fat AMG!
