Memorisation tips below 🤓 ☟ 1️⃣ “Analytic Memory" Repetition is good for muscle memory, but for a more secure performance you need to also engage other forms of memory. Memorising the harmony engages your “analytic memory” which gives you another lifeline to rely on under the stress of a performance 2️⃣ “Actice Recall” Memorisation comes from repeated RECALL, not repeated exposure!! You need to practice retrieving the information for it to stick in your long term memory. 3️⃣ Memorisation practice SHOULD feel hard! The more cognitively demanding the task is, the more likely it is to stick. Hope that helps!
