The "Pineapple Express" - an atmospheric river with subtropical roots - has pulled into Western Washington, and it will surge over the Sound in two waves this week. The first round of the heaviest rain will peak Monday evening, and a second batch of steady, warm precipitation will pick up the pace late Tuesday night. Together, they will lead to widespread moderate to major river flooding in our region.
