With the goal of expanding access to high quality, compassionate healthcare across the region, Boynton Beach based Bethesda Health has merged with Baptist Health South Florida. The union is a culmination of more than two years of due diligence. Sharing a not-for-profit mission, Bethesda Hospital East and Bethesda Hospital West become part of the largest healthcare organization in the region. Baptist Health South Florida is now comprised of 10 hospitals, more than 40 physician practices and approximately 50 outpatient facilities as well as internationally renowned centers of excellence in Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. [Transcript] [Bethesda Health Becomes Part Of Baptist Health South Florida] [Brian E. Keeley, President And CEO, Baptist Health South Florida] Combining the two together, what we're going to be doing is we're going to be providing a very high level of care. And I call it a world-class care, to all the people that live in Palm Beach down in the Keys. That's our defined service area. [Collage of Baptist Health South Florida's hospital] [Roger Kirk, President And CEO, Bethesda Health] Baptist is committed to quality, as is Bethesda. Our mission has always been very simply stated to provide quality healthcare in a caring manner. And with Baptist, again, it will only allow us to strengthen that mission. [Collage of Bethesda Health] [Brian E. Keeley, President And CEO] It's always about people, the compassionate, caring people that went out of the way for me, that called me, "How am I doing?" That actually checked out, and before they went home, they went up and visited a patient again, "How are you doing today? I'll see you tomorrow." That's what BaptistHealth is all about, great people.
