We have borrowed our Directive Principles from the Irish Constitution. Directive Principles of State Policy are non-Justiciable Rights, which means that they cannot be enforced through a Court of Law. These DPSP lays down the Objectives and Framework according to which Policies and Laws should be made. As and when our Country will develop and Progress, one by one we will start enacting Legislations according to DPSP. For the purpose of understanding, the Article of Part IV of the Indian Constitution are classified as Socialistic Principles, Gandhian Principles and Liberal Principles. I have tried to provide you with a Gist of important aspect of each Article. Some of the enacted Legislations in the Light of DPSPs are: Maternity Relief Act Minimum Wages Act Environment Protection Act Forest Act, Etc.
