Smash burgers are all the rage right now. I wanted to kick it up a notch and add ground bacon with the ground beef to make the ultimate smash burger! @Recteqlifestyle www.partyfoodhero.com Ingredients: 1lb Ground beef (80/20 works great) 1/2 lb Bacon Salt Pepper American Cheese Oil to grease the griddle or pan Onions and Mustard are optional Directions: Cut bacon into chunks Place bacon into a food processor and pulse until the bacon resembles ground beef Add bacon with ground beef and mix together with your hand until well combined For meat into balls that are a little bigger than a golf ball Set on a lined cooking sheet and cover with plastic wrap Place cooking sheet into the refrigerator until ready to cook (I don’t go longer than an hour in the refrigerator) Set heat to high on your griddle or pan Add a thin layer of oil When the surface begins to smoke add your meatball Place a square piece of parchment paper on top of the meatball and smash it down with a metal spatula Smash the meat down until evenly flat around a 1/4 of an inch Remove the parchment paper and lightly dust with salt and pepper *Optional add onions and/or mustard When you see the edges of the meat begin the brown flip the burger over Add cheese Once the cheese is completely melted remove the burger and place it onto a toasted hamburger bun ENJOY!!!!
