John Deere Reveals Hybrid-Electric 850 X-Tier E-Drive Dozer

Improving power, torque and fuel consumption, John Deere has introduced its concept of an 850 X-Tier E-Drive dozer. Offering a hybrid solution, E-Drive machines feature an electrified drivetrain with an engine as the primary power source. Unique to the John Deere 850 X-Tier is the dual electric drive motors. The less complex drivetrain powers each track with an electric motor to maintain the maneuverability and control of a traditional hydrostatic John Deere dozer. The 850 X-tier provides operators with multiple operating modes to tailor performance and fuel consumption to their specific jobsite needs. In addition, with the electric components, the machine provides a much stronger total cost of ownership story for customers.
