I had to key it down (-2) though because the original goes so high and I learned my lesson with Lost One’s Weeping. I really love this song tbh and tried my best to have the lyrics flow well but also keep that jazzy rhythm that’s so important to the original. Like, I didn’t realize just how jazz this song was until I was swaying back and forth trying to get those lyrics to feel more “swing-y”. That said, it was really fun to record and will probably go down as one of the more enjoyable covers in the hundreds I’ve done lol. I know there are youtiate out there who can probably do this genre better and I kinda hope they borrow my lyrics bc it’d be so cool! Anyway, please enjoy! I was gonna use my new mic but I still don’t know how to mix it well so for now, I’m sticking to my Yeti until I’m comfortable with it haha.
