AWESOME RS3L HORN ON BNSF 179! BNSF 179 on the SONGS and Escondido Local!

If you like photography and a more behind the scene stuff check out my Instagram:   / oceanside.railfan   ABOUT THIS VIDEO: Here’s some of the catches I got this month of BNSF GP60 179 on two of the locals in the North County of San Diego! 179 still has it’s original RS3L from the Santa Fe days so this made for quite a treat here! I was finally able to catch the SONGS local as well after wanting to see it for sometime, not too many videos are out there of it due to it running most of it’s journey through Camp Pendleton and very limited light and locations to film when it’s not on the base. Was awesome to finally see how they operated that local and the next night they went down the Escondido sub so I chased them to esco and back to Oceanside in the early morning hours! 179 sounds a little more fouled than I remember it but it’s still sweet to see it in action!
