Join us as we celebrate our first KHMER NEW YEAR! We are in Siem Reap, Cambodia celebrating Khmer New Year 2024, and attending the 4-day Siem Reap Sankranta celebrations. We were deciding between attending Khmer New Year/Sankranta in Cambodia, or Songkran in Thailand, but ultimately opted to attend Siem Reap Sankranta celebrations, and we are so glad we did! Khmer New Year, or Cambodian New Year, is the celebration of the solar new year in Cambodia, coinciding with similar celebrations in Thailand, Laos, Myanmar and many other Asian countries! This video is the FOURTH, and final day of the celebrations! We watch the blessings and cleansing take place, of course dance to some more live music, and get soaked, ONE. FINAL. TIME!
