The Vice President's helicopter is operated by Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1), a unit of the United States Marine Corps that is based at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia. Marine Two is a variant of the VH-3D Sea King helicopter, which is used to transport the President and other high-ranking government officials. The Marine Corps also operates a second call sign, Marine One, which is used to refer to the helicopter that transports the President.
