The TurfMuncher™ Field Reclamation Machine was our first field tested, proprietary product for on-site sports field reclamation. The InfillMuncher™ is our newest offering designed to deliver a complete, on-site infill reclamation and reuse solution. InfillMuncher™ Features and Components 1) The InfillMuncher™ is designed to be transported and operated from a standard 30 foot length trailer. The overall dimensions of the InfillMuncher™ are 8 feet wide, 27 feet long and 8 feet tall. The InfillMuncher™ (excluding trailer) weighs approximately 14,000 pounds. 2) The InfillMuncher™ is powered by a Kubota V2203-M 48HP (35.9kW) vertical 4-cylinder, 4-cycle, liquid cooled diesel engine. A combination 5kW electrical and 30GPM hydraulic system powers all of the InfillMuncher's processes. A forced air, indirect, multi-oil fired 400,000 BTU heater dries and conditions the mixed infill material for separation. 3) The InfillMuncher™ separates by size* (not by mass) through the following stations: Mixed infill hopper (2 cubic yard capacity) and feed conveyor Mixed infill drying and conditioning through a rotary dryer 10 mesh screen vibratory sieve removal (large debris output) 10 mesh to 20 mesh screen sieve vibratory removal (10-20 mesh rubber output) Under 20 mesh screen vibratory sieve removal (combined sand/rubber fines output) Screens are easily interchangeable for the desired material size 4) Conveyors move the reclaimed components for collection and removal InfillMuncher™ Operation Overview The InfillMuncher™ is designed to separate the rubber and/or sand infill mixture that is reclaimed and removed from sports fields by the TurfMuncher™. The InfillMuncher™ processes approximately 500 pounds of reclaimed mixed infill input per minute based on typical infill specifications (68 pounds per cubic foot). Actual production speeds may vary based on weather conditions and infill moisture content. Production rates are also greatly affected by the quantity and method of transporting reclaimed mixed infill from the TurfMuncher™ to the InfillMuncher™ and transportation of the separated infill components away from the InfillMuncher™. At least two lift trucks, front end loaders or dump carts are required to efficiently capture and transport the infill to and from the InfillMuncher™.
