Scout Patch Trading at the 2024 NOAC in Boulder Colorado

First off thank you to the hundreds of Arrowmen who subscribed to this channel during the National OA Conference in Boulder, CO. I got to trade patches and shake hands with so many of you during the conference and it was a thrill to meet you all! My channel has been around for longer than some of you have been out of diapers. Through fits and starts if you explore the channel you'll see different series I've done through the years. The bread and butter of the channel is the unboxing videos. I help Scouters and families recycle Scouting memorabilia by purchasing their collections. To share the history my unboxing series allows me to cut open the box and have a Christmas morning moment pulling out and discussing the Scouter's story. The other more recent series I've done is Scouting Hot Finds Live which I may revive in some form. The live show was sometimes created live as I tried to learn how to use the Streamyard platform. It includes an interview with a guest, unboxing video and a little bit of extra. So the thing I want to encourage all of you to do is don't put your newly acquired collection under your bed and never look at it again. Take it to your next troop meeting, chapter meeting, lodge event, or other Scout gathering (YES keep them safe and secure! not laying in your tent). In my lodge the people who spread the interest in collecting were the teenagers who were willing to bring their collections to events (collections of any size!) and share and trade. In fact as cheesy as it may sound the fad in my lodge is for patch traders to have a good old fashioned (the older the better) briefcase to hold their collection. Don't get discouraged if you look online and see someone selling the set you want for big money. All this excitement about the 2024 event will fade in a month and those prices will plummet. Six months or a year from now you can find many of these for an equivalent of a 1:1 trade value. Thank you for trading with me and I'd love to hear from you in the comments!
