Drug peddlers caught red handed

Four men were caught red-handed packing drugs worth 14 thousand ringgit at a motel in Alor Setar, Kedah. According to police, the suspects had been actively involved in the illegal activities for the past month. Kota Setar OCPD Assistant Commissioner Md Rozi Jidin said 45 packets contained heroin while the other 18 contained syabu, which were all seized in the raid. The suspects, aged between 29 and 46, were detained on Thursday while packing the drugs into small packages. The heroin was sold at RM250 per packet while the meth was sold at 150 each. Initial investigations showed that all the men have previous drugs related cases with two of them having criminal records including for snatch theft. The 4 have been remanded for seven days to facilitate investigations under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
