It's a classic question. Should you roll your kilt or hang it up on a hanger in the closet? Which method of storing the kilt is best for the kilt's health and longevity? We'll admit - we prefer hanging. Rolling your kilt carefully with the pleats in the center is a very useful skill for when you are traveling. Or if space is an issue, you can roll your kilt to store it in a drawer. However, the kilt will better retain it's shape if hung on a hanger. Hanging also allows the kilt to "breathe". If you have perspired in your kilt, hanging it up allows air flow around the fabric which will help disperse any odors and moisture. If moths are a concern in your home, hang the kilt in a closet with cedar planks or similar items to repel the moths. Of course the more often you wear your kilt, the less of an issue this will be.
