In this presentation for the Young Leaders Fellowship Program, I address the systemic "leaky pipeline" in Nigeria’s education sector. While financial aid increases enrollment, it rarely guarantees graduation. Through primary stakeholder surveys in Ebonyi State, I have identified a critical lack of oversight regarding hidden costs and socio-economic pressures that drive student attrition. I am proposing a shift from the traditional "Donation Model" to a data-driven "Success Model." This three-phase intervention utilizes a rigorous Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework, bi-monthly check-ins, and financial audits to reduce dropout rates by 25% in its pilot phase. My goal is to transform localized success into national policy change, ensuring every scholarship investment results in a completed certificate.
