महाराष्ट्र सरकारने नागपूर–गोवा शक्तिपीठ महामार्गाच्या मार्गात मोठे बदल जाहीर केले आहेत. मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांचा ड्रीम प्रोजेक्ट म्हणून ओळखला जाणारा हा महामार्ग भूसंपादनाच्या अडचणी आणि जनतेच्या विरोधात घट व्हावी, यासाठी नव्या संरेखनातून नेण्यात आला आहे. मात्र, मार्ग बदलूनही अनेक भागांमध्ये शेतकरी आणि स्थानिक संघटनांचा विरोध कायम आहे. सुमारे ८४० किलोमीटर लांबीचा झालेला हा महामार्ग जलद कनेक्टिव्हिटी, आर्थिक विकास आणि धार्मिक पर्यटनाला चालना देणारा ठरेल, असा सरकारचा दावा आहे. मात्र भूसंपादन, खर्च आणि आंतरराज्य परवानग्यांबाबतचे प्रश्न अजूनही प्रलंबित असून, येणारे काही महिने हा महामार्ग विकासाचा गेम चेंजर ठरणार की अडचणीत सापडणार, हे ठरवणारे असणार आहेत The Maharashtra government has announced major alignment changes to the ambitious Nagpur–Goa Shaktipeeth Expressway, often called Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ dream project.
