The photo released by the NYPD showed the man with black hair, a beard, and glasses, although the suspect's ethnicity was not clarified. When the photo was distributed, CNN Chief Law Enforcement and Intelligence Analyst, John Miller, described the suspected shooter as a “male, possibly white”.
