Tukwila police use pepper spray after anti-ICE protesters blockade DHS facility | GRAPHIC CONTENT

WARNING: VIDEO CONTAINS PROFANITY TUKWILA, Wash. — Tukwila police officers were called to assist the Federal Protective Services (FPS) police after they became barricaded in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) facility by a large group of demonstrators blocking the drive on Saturday afternoon, the agency reports. Before officers arrived around 3 p.m., some demonstrators, who were protesting ICE, had set up street signs and other items to block the south entrance and exit of the DHS facility. Many were dressed in black, carrying makeshift shields, and had reportedly caused property damage by removing street posts and spray painting nearby property. While many protesters obeyed the command to depart, another group of demonstrators refused to leave the roadway. The TPD said most of those refusing were carrying shields and dressed in black. As officers began clearing the barricades, some demonstrators threw frozen water bottles and rocks at them. The TPD sated officers used pepper spray and PepperBalls to clear the drive successfully, and that no arrests were made. Video via Cam Higby / Today is America.
