Can the Sanken CSM-50 replace the legendary Sennheiser MKH-50? In this video, we compare the Sanken CMS-50 Mid-Side microphone with the legendary Sennheiser MKH-50, first as a dialogue recording microphone using just the condenser capsule of the CMS-50 to compare with the MKH-50, and then also recording a live music performance at an outdoor patio in the Mid-Side configuration to get a better sense of the stereo capability.
