Family and loved ones gathered to say their final goodbyes to Jordan Neely today in Harlem. Neely was killed on May 1 after being put in a fatal chokehold by fellow passenger Daniel Perry on the subway. Last week, Perry, a former U.S. Marine, turned himself in to face second-degree manslaughter charges. He was released on $100,000 bail. Penny claims he stepped in to protect himself and other subway passengers from a Neely. Penny's next court day is scheduled for July 17. Records show Neely, who was experiencing homelessness at the time of his death, had struggled with mental illness following the murder of his mother in 2007.
