I’ve heard about this park my whole life but never thought I’d actually visit… until now. Join me as I explore the rides, food, history, and atmosphere of this famous California amusement park during the annual Boysenberry Festival. The day starts with a bit of an adventure just getting into the park. Parking, ticket lines, and a special school event made things interesting right from the start. After finally getting through the gates, we explore the incredible Ghost Town, check out some classic rides, and meet some hilarious in-character Old West performers. Of course, I had to try some rides! I kick things off with the Pony Express coaster, explore interactive attractions like the Berry Tales ride, and later tackle one of the park’s most famous wooden roller coasters — GhostRider. It’s fast, rough, and a wild ride! But let’s be honest — one of the biggest reasons people come here is the food. Knott’s actually started as a berry farm and restaurant, and the famous fried chicken made by Cordelia Knott helped turn this place into a full theme park. So I head over to the legendary Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant to try the iconic fried chicken meal, boysenberry drinks, biscuits with jam, and of course… boysenberry pie! From roller coasters and Old West shows to classic theme park food, this was an unforgettable first visit.
