Madagascar has been the location for a great many twists and turns in evolution. Originally attached to Africa with the help of sponsors like South America, Antarctica, and India, it played host to plenty of the lineages which many of us identify with the much larger continents. Those uniquely beautiful lifeforms which inhabit the island today have more connections with India and Africa. If I were to dig back through time, it is quite clear much older fossil fauna of Madagascar had stronger connections to Antarctica, South America, and India with which it was most closely attached during the Mesozoic era. __________________________________________________________________ Art in Thumbnail belongs to - Mark Hallett __________________________________________________________________ ✅Tyler Addison ✅ / tyleraddison17 ✅Adam Midzuk ✅ / kuzim_za __________________________________________________________________ ✅ PATREON ✅ / edgescience ✅ STICKERS & SHIRTS ✅ https://www.redbubble.com/people/Pain... ✅Facebook: facebook.com/ExpeditionDG/ ✅Twitter: twitter.com/EDGEinthewild ✅Instagram: @edgeonthetrail ✅ MUSIC ✅ “EDGE Theme” - Taung Child / Reuben Cozens “Unsolved Mystery” - Karl Casey “Mass Extinction” - Karl Casey “Carni Jamm” - Carnivores Cityscape “Headligjts om tje Fog” - Karl Casey “Divided We Fall” - Karl Casey __________________________________________________________________ If I've used something on my video that you don't want me to use, PLEASE EMAIL ME first before flagging a video, I'm very reasonable and will take the video down to replace whatever image or video belongs to you.
